It seems like the book is finally going to get good. After 216 pages. Talk about a slow start.

I usually have things to say about books I'm reading. All I know for this one is that I love it. Don't ask me why. I just do. Already.

Very dull so far, and heavy with exposition. After 111 pages of boredom, I would've left most books. The goodreads rating is pushing me here.

It's basically Pullman throwing a bunch of sci-fi/fantasy concepts at the wall, and for me, only one stuck. Mary Malone's exploration of a culture where people have wheels instead of legs is so good it makes up for uninteresting concepts like the Intention Craft and the Gallivespians.

It's exactly what I expected: well-written simplistic children's fantasy that tries and fails to be deeply metaphysical.

This book is weird.

Please don't think any less of me for grinning through the beginning of this one...

Still a book about nothing in particular, but it's starting to grow on me. I just hope Atticus doesn't stay a boring goody two-shoes till the end.

How on earth did the book manage to be about absolutely nothing for 82 pages? At least the story seems to be starting now.

The pieces are starting to fall into place. Also, Bourne is fucked.

They're still talking. More talking. This is the second consecutive chapter with just 5 people talking. Still fun, but let's see Bourne kick some ass, can we?
