I so like poor Mr. Bennett quite well thus far.

How long would take to write a 20 page poem?

I'd no idea he taught at Ol' Mizzou.

He makes poetry look easy. A neat trick since poetry is hard to do well. He does it better than well.

His words, cadences and subjects are fascinating. I forget who mentioned his poetry, and what poem I read, but I do wish I could thank that person.

Up to Chapter 30.

Three more chapters down.

Up to Chapter 22 - and the prose thickens. Not to mention more characters.

Well, the Wehr-Wolf showed up, there's been a murder, a kidnapping, and many tears shed. Melodrama fairly drips from this book.

Another three overwrought chapters down. Heaving bosoms and sparkling white shoulders abound. No were-wolf yet.

Up to Chapter 8. The prose is so purple at times, it's almost black.

Double column, small print...don't let the 160 page count fool you!

Finished the original text, now into Alaska, Hawaii and more

This would make a great period movie.

So far, it's not your typical trashy novel.

The wheels are starting to come off.

I'm still not liking any if the people in this book.

There are a LOT of pictures in this book.

I quite dislike Prospero And The Man in the Grey Suit. In fact, I don't much like anyone in the book so far. Except maybe for The boy Bailey.

I feel like I'm reading newspaper clippings.

No real narrative to this book. Just a listing of events. It's a book long timeline. Lots of accidents on the Branch.
