Lovely, tender and touching... brilliantly written... about first loves, coming to accept oneself, and being that girl that everyone made fun of.

A 12 yo pop music sensation worried about staying that.

Lots of autobiography. The man is a great storyteller. The book seemed more like a memoir than a book to help writers for the first 100 pages. Finally, after admitting to addiction and a manic lifestyle, he gets into some gems to write by. And I get it: all of it is a well written story, which, in and of itself, is a writing lesson.

Good concept. The number of pages between the contest announcement and the actual beginning of the game could have been cut in half. Otherwise, fun.

fun concept. Could have been drastically shorter. Still waiting for the action to really start.

The tomb of Egypt's first unified ruler is in the sites of an expeditionary force because the promise of riches hidden within. The only problem is the tomb is underneath a mirky lake and guarded by a 5000 year old curse and ghostly army, which is why Logan, a Yale professor and inenigmologist is called in.

The Fray Theory of interconnecting universes is a closely held secret guarded by a black-ops style force and the protagonist is in their sights because she's seen the Fray Theory book.

A professional ghost hunter (by day a Yale professor) is called by a famous acheologist to unearth unfathomable wealth from the tomb of Egypt's first ruler. But the tomb is sunk in a swamp and protected by a curse. --Definitely mature writing. If you like Dan Brown, you'll want to check out this novel.

A multiverse where worlds don't touch except in dreams and premonitions... and a secret that must be kept from the world.

You know, Cassie is so bitchy, i'm surprised she's still alive! :-) I can see Yancey trying to deal with that by having her try to hold back on some of her acerbic comments. But oh my goodness. And I get it: it creates dramatic tension in her scenes. I'm thinking there might have been another way to keep that tension without making her so... acerbic.

Nelou has great descriptions. She really is a master of specificity, which helps the reader see. "He pushed his goggles up onto his hairline." Not his forehead, or head, or face but hairline.

I like the various points of view/narrators. We get to know people and jumping POVs keep the story moving forward.

Hopes continue to get dashed with the loss of a father and brother.

A woman who dreams the future and whose reality is nightmarish like a dream.

Human annihilation through the eyes of a high school girl.

The author has a rich and sophisticated writing style.
