Let’s just look past the fact that majority of the books I’ve read this year are Elin’s ok?! I love her.

Guess I’m staying up all night to finish this one.

The King himself was not kidding. I started this book yesterday….evening…… it is RIVETING

So I’m back on the fence about this book. If you asked me to rate it right now, I would BARELY give it 3 stars. I find the writing so choppy and like one sentence-y. I don’t know how else to explain it, there’s just minimal depth and feeling and it’s just statement after statement. However it has made me very curious about researching the Vietnam war, hence 3 stars and not 1 or 2.

I think it’s important to note I had to have a friend tell me to finish this book, and it wasn’t because I wasn’t enjoying it. This is heavy material and it’s fast moving. However, I’m now almost at 50% and I’m very glad I continued on.

It’s funny, I felt I was about this far into “It Ends with Us” when I needed my BFF to tell me to finish it, because I was NOT enjoying it.

This time, I’m at roughly the same point, but need to be talked into finishing it, because it’s really good, but very spooky. Someone tell me I’ll be ok!
