I'm not gonna lie, I really don't care about Rowan's man pain enough for it to justify why he not only hurt her, but kept tracking her down and basically forcing her to talk to him (he verbatim said she wasn't allowed to quit and ripped up her resignation application. And as her BOSS? That feels threatening).

lex martin really is on her copy/paste game for this series, huh? I struggle to believe Daren, who never sent Clem flowers, despite being childhood friends to lovers/high school sweethearts, but send them to Maddie like it's nothing.

lex martin is definitely making this up as she goes along. there are so many continuity errors here from previous books or just things that don't make sense.

this book is very 2014, but I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would.
