AND ANOTHER THING: why do romance novels always make the MCs feel jealous when their LIs has significant others in the past, like before they even knew them?? this isn't specific to TFP, but I just got to it and it kills me. Both R&Z have reacted this way and it's just 🙄🙄🙄🙄

I'm not gonna lie, I really don't care about Rowan's man pain enough for it to justify why he not only hurt her, but kept tracking her down and basically forcing her to talk to him (he verbatim said she wasn't allowed to quit and ripped up her resignation application. And as her BOSS? That feels threatening).

do I cut my losses and just dnf this damn book? I'm getting way too many marriage for one vibes. NOT a good thing.
