Makes an interesting case that the agricultural revolution had more cons than pros for humans. Apparently in bodies of ancient farmers, ailments like slipped discs became way more prevalent as our spines struggled to cope with the back-breaking work. On top of this, humans rarely ate cereals before the rise of farming. In many ways, we were better off as hunter-gatherers.

'Bothántaíocht' is an Irish word referring to the 'act of socialising by going from house to house in search of craic'.

I'm finding a helpful method to remember the meaning of crazy specific terms like 'epenthesis' and 'apocope' is to look up the etymology and it suddenly becomes super clear. Apocope --> Greek 'apo-' (apart, away from, off) and 'koptein' (to cut). It's meaning in English is to cut off the last letter of a word.

In Old English, /v/ was just an allophone of /f/. But through loans from French, /v/ became an independent phoneme in English (see: /vine/ and /fine/)

Neutralisation is when two phones that form minimal pairs become the same phone in a certain environment. Like the Korean word for small gourd and small room will end in the same sound if the next word begins with a nasal.

Phonology and morphology are connected because an alteration in a word due to morphology will affect the word's phonological features.
