Divine Authority: The Ten Commandments are delivered in a way that illustrates God’s supreme authority over creation and His right to establish moral law. By claiming divine ownership in the preamble—“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt” (Exodus 20:2)—God not only asserts His power but also reminds the Israelites of His redemptive actions.

The manner in which God chose to deliver these commandments is significant. The narrative of God speaking the commandments directly to the Israelites from Mount Sinai emphasizes His authority and sovereignty.
