I can't seem to get enough of this book. For those who are finding the multiple stories boring (i haaave been there too), believe me it gets better.
Anyways i promised myself a great scenery to finish this book so its probablyyy by the Seine again like i did today flipping through 50 pages

I realize that the story of Shane Wheeler is supposed to be told too, but adding the story of Dee's son is just..aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarghhhhh. I'm losing focus.

I hope the story of the old American writer who keeps visiting the hotel every year to write his book is told more in detail in the next pages.. Something weirdly intriguing about a character who acknowledges how deeply troubled he is.

Oddly in love with this quote: "This way of consciously relating, which everyone attempts to bring out the best in others rather than go have power over them,is a posture the entire human race will eventually adopt".

At first,i recall finding it weird to have a stranger narrator to this story, but it makes much more sense since i would've regarded the entire story not with objectivity but with rage and confusion (im already still confused, ofc history-wise with the whole NAACP and constitution stories).

Having just read the 1st book just 3/4 days ago, i notice there are lots of repeated segments in the 2nd book

Honestly, i'm kind of surprised Scout is no longer the narrator. For now, still discovering maycomb county after 20 years or so from the 1st book and so far so good

Literally trying to make finishing this book as painless as possible..by reading it as slowly as i can :(

Absolutely captivating..had me thinking I need to go back to basics and read my classics before i dig in anything "modern".
