Maximilian is heartbroken over Valentine's marriage to Franz & since Valentine's grandmother wants to see her married. Noirtier surprises with the Villefort Family Vault! Cavalcanti & Caderousse are in cahoots, but what befalls him. Morcerf's crimes & Haydee's testimony. Albert challenges the Count to a duel

Now I see how the new characters are connected. I wasn't expecting to find out more about Caderousse, but some things never change.

Cheers to Villefort's daughter, Valentine and Villefort's invalid father. I hope she doesn't have to marry Franz.

It had been a few weeks since I had to read and I was completely confused by the introduction of Franz and Albert. But I kept going and now there has been revenge on the part of Bertuccio towards Villefort. A baby buried alive too! Now Caderousse has shown up again in a story Bertuccio is relating to the Count. Wow
