The thematic focus of frenetic/ obsessive / cyclic thought patterns is hitting very close to home.

Tower of Babylon - 4/5 (a lot of the religious symbolism was lost on me but I love when a high level concept is grounded with truly excellent world building)

I can read the most absurd, plot twisty speculative fiction and not bat an eye but period dramas always have me in raptures
