Cannot finish it, it's probably me but I've been avoiding listening for weeks. Going to have to move to something old and comfortable to hopefully get my audiobook mojo back.

hmm it seems that book 8 follows on from and refers to events in book 7.5. So off to download this multicast dramatisation I go.

Yes I've definitely read this series before, whilst I cannot remember any of the story or how far I got in the series, every new character and scene sets of deja vu.

hmm I may have read this before 30 years or so ago..

Well this book disproves my theory that the author just needed to base the story around less dreary protagonists.

Pyrre Lakatur was one of the better characters in the Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne books 1-3 series but she is as dull as dishwater in this prequel. I would advise he stick to 3rd person narrative for future books.

Half a book to go and I am done with Mr Staveley after this.
