I'm intending to make a study of this book. I'd like to look into the references and write further about his ideas and their aimed-for conclusions. My thesis since 1996 about Burroughs and his work has been that it's basically true; that he wasn't writing fiction, or when he was, it was with the idea of educating his readers. Many authors try to entertain readers. Research along these lines is necessary.
