It's going to take me a long time to finish this book. Although I'm very interested in home recording, it's a reference book that gives me some trouble. It's very technical and I'm actually enjoying more narrative at that moment. Think I'll put my energy into Plato. Will need this book for the summer when I record again.

My first time through trying to understand DIY recording. This is the "overview" first read.

Enjoying it more than Soft Machine so far. Lots of useful narration and ideas in here.

Better yet!

It's getting better. Following the plot more which is ironic because I'm less interested in plot than other elements of fiction. I want to find books that break the rules.

Not turning out like I'd hoped so far, but I'm going to work through it.

So far, I like this better than Donald Passman's seminal work.

Just interested in what it says about finding your life's mission; not in a job search.
