Great book!!! Horror after horror, perfect for fans of medieval times/plague/horror.

Interesting read! I loved the first half, to be honest the second half sort of dragged at times, and parts of the end could have been written more clearly, but overall an enjoyable read! Creepy material that walks the line of supernatural and real. Reading it will definitely be worth your while if you enjoyed House of Leaves and/or like stories about caves/underground.

Fantastic fantasy novel! Loved the development, the magic is unique, and for me there never was a dull moment. I am excited to start the next book of the series.

Book too tedious I’ve put it down indefinitely

Great story, the beginning to middle is fantastic, but I felt the end was rushed. Also, the main character is supposed to be a mastermind conman, but you y see glimpses of this in the book. A lot of his endeavors are luck. I will pick up the next book to see what happens next, and I do I recommend this book if you like an action story that changes timelines a decent amount.

First portion or tale was riveting and easy to follow. With normal Erikson fashion, I am now lost and the information is too dense. Lost interest for now.

Wow! This book is a space-noir thriller, and the characters are so likable. The writing makes them feel like genuine, real life people. The authors also do a great just b sprinkling humor into their dialogue. There’s not a dull moment.... read this book!!

This book is so fascinating. I couldn’t put it down, and I loved learning about the dawn of exploration of the Amazon.

Fawcett was a man consumed by a dream, characterized as raving mad yet so physically determined. He is an inspiration.

If you love narratives of adventure and want to have an idea of what the Amazon jungle is like without setting foot in it, this book paints the forest so vividly.

Overall good storyline, first book in a 12 part series; reviews say the book is confusing, it is but not as bad as I thought it'd be.
