For those who were wondering, this really doesn't read like YA. It's set when the mc is young, but he's looking back on his life from an older age.

Only just got to where the prologue came from. So...what now?

This ARC is gorgeous.

Very interesting so far, though I have NO idea what's happening. If Leigh can explain it, this will be great.

This anthology includes stories by 9 authors' contributions. Of those, I hated the books of five of them. So far, two of those authors have written the best stories, and two of them met my incredibly low expectations. Better than I thought.

Guess the offending author:

"A silver trickle of strange sounds, like wind chimes, breathed against her ear.

Later:

"'Where are you?' she whispered.
Silence. And . . . weeping, and then a kind of gasping, like strangling. And another voice, higher-pitched:

Help."

"She's a flower, I think, the moment before it's cut. She's a puddle of rain in the street, before a tire has yet to run through it."

Ugh. They just had a really long conversation about what their first kiss will be like and then didn't kiss. That's so awkward.

"'I need you to promise me you'll listen from here on in. Any order I give, even if it sounds weird at the time, just trust me, okay?'

Again, she nods. 'I promise.'"

Bitch, never agree to shit like that unless the person actually knows more about the situation you're in. Spoiler: You know as much as Gray does. Don't let him boss you around!
