So far I'm not feeling any connection between Jarek and Lana. Their first sex scene was unsexy, and seemingly painful, even though she is not even close to be a virgin. And the vast majority of the story is happening in her head. I don't like her enough to spend endless hours in her mind; lets get some conversation going.

Okay. She hates him for taking her virginity and running away afterward. She resents that he's somehow managed to become a millionaire. She avoids him at her mother's event. Begrudgingly accepts a ride home from him, though refuses to acknowledge him on the way home. But somehow decides it's okay to invite him up for coffee?

Oh my stars! Someone may this woman stop whining! I absolutely want to strangle her with my bare hands.

Not really loving Lana so far. She seems bitter, but maybe it's intentional to the story?

Dear authors, when you're writing a story about a nerd, who loves animals so much she's going into veterinary medicine, I am almost positive such a character would know there is no such thing as poisonous snakes. If you bite something and you get sick that something is poisonous. If something bites you and you get sick that something is venomous. #GoogleIt

1) No self respecting beef cattle rancher would have voted for Obama once, much less twice. 2) When Garth made the remark about the rodeo not being a circus, how did Rosen not immediately remark on the clowns she been noticing all night?

I don't mind a cheating story. I like the built in angst, but this is getting ridiculous. Why would you plan to marry someone who no longer satisfies you and you can't keep your hands off someone else?

Apparently all the main characters have sexually ambiguous names. In order of appearance: Blake. Micah. Cory. Casey. I challenge you to figure out which is male and which is female...

Are all the female characters going to have masculine names? #confused

I'm having a really hard time. I love the premise of this story. It has so much potential, but the immaturity of the characters has me wanting to DNF it right now.

I think it's odd that they've had at least one heavy make out session, but have yet to really kiss. They keep giving quick, but passionate kisses on the lips.

So apparently Jake's dad got an "offer he couldn't refuse" to work in Australia. As a lawyer. And not as an international corporate lawyer, which might have been believable, but as a do-gooder family lawyer overseeing other do-gooder family lawyers. A law degree isn't like a medical degree. They don't even transfer from state to state, much less countries. I hope this is explained at some point...

I'm really enjoying the story, but some of the grammatical and punctuation errors are distracting. Using "were" instead of "we're," and "bought" when "brought" would have been the correct word. I'm perfectly willing to overlook the occasional slip, no one is perfect, but when it's repeated constantly it makes me want to pull my hair out.
