I really like Janie. I’m glad she finally told her husband how she really felt. I feel
Like he robbed her of her youth. But I’m glad shes a woman that has a mind of her own. Joe missed out on the real her. All he wanted was a wife to keep house. It’s sad that a husband can be jealous of his his own wife’s beauty and try to tear her down just to build himself up. Just selfish. Janie deserved better.

I like that Joe Starks is a man with a plan. But, Janie wants love and to be seen. Although, she is with a man that wants more in life and looks better he still makes her feel like she is “suppose” to stay in “a woman’s place.”

Janie wants more…

I can’t wait to discuss the first 5 chapters.

Now Janie😅…. Janie reminds me of a modern day women. If she isn’t happy, she is not afraid to take risk.

I do hope she finds what she is looking for because no one should be obligated to stay in a marriage that, they didn’t want to begin with. Although, Nanny picked someone safe and that would take care of Janie especially in those times. But, Janie is her own woman and she wants love and adventure.

This book is so deep. The writing is beautiful. It’s a work of literature. The wording is genius! This is a great re-read!

I’m learning that Liliana’s cruelty is a coping mechanism but hurt people hurt people.

Okay,Sara is very selfish but now I see why she acts the ways she acts.

Lily is a good one, for signing away her right to the estate. It couldn’t be me but then she has good reasons, I guess. I’m sure she will win it back at the end though. But, that would be a predictable book, so I’ll see. 🧐
