So “Pocahontas” wasn’t even her real name, it was Mataoka. Wow. They kidnapped her,reneged on a deal they made with her father King Wahunsenacah, converted her to Christianity, married her off to the colonizer John Rolfe just to steal and destroy a community that wasn’t even theirs. They definitely didn’t teach any of this in American history. Terrible times and terrible human beings.They were the savages.

Healing was great now on to growth…

I just finished listening to part one and this book validates all my feelings about unhealthy family relationships. It’s almost like she is talking to the current me.😅I think that this book is beneficial for everyone because no one has the perfect family. Part two focuses on healing and I can’t wait to see what information I glean from it. Part 2 here I come 🏃🏾‍♀️💨
