Mmmm banal giant company weirdness.

This book keeps having these weird side things that feel like they are trying to satirize something, but it's never clear to what end. Like the fiat currency thing continues to come up, and I just got past a section that kinfa felt like it was mocking the labor theory of value, but again, no real indicator of why. It's strange.

Also like...don't explain your pun.

It just keeps getting more...just more. Like "misogyny Factorio" was a start, but now we have fiat currency, personal identity as a concept, and oh yeah, the Ludovico treatment. None of these seem particularly explored and at this point, it's hard to tell what is supposed to be a joke.

This is a really weird book. Almost unsettling.

Who had "misogyny Factorio" on the 60s SciFi bingo card? Not me, but here we are, lol.
