Love this. Finished the first one in this collection, good characters, plot, and brilliant storytelling. Fast-paced. Lots of humour as well.

elise sax - bounty: good but totally unbelievable plot, unrealistic characters and a narration style that needs getting used to. Too forced funny for my taste.

TS Layne - Mr Pink: What did this story do in this collection titled "Love and Danger"? Where was the danger? This was just a haphazard string of sex scenes between entitled male trust fund baby Austin and widowed mother Macey. Lots of hints from oh-so-poor-mistreated Austin's past (how does this explain him being an a-hole nowadays?), too short. His choise, but others' fault?

2. The Forgotten Memories - again, a lot packed into a relatively short story, but everything a reader needs is there. I especially enjoy the bickering between Marin and Jack.

A Single Glance - Willow Winters
What's the plot? Just random BDSM or whatever fantasies of 2 people. Were there more books before? I feel as if I am missing stuff. Definitely a no!

Jack Spirelli, owner of a junk shop, which is a sort of camouflage for his paranormal investigations. With his newly hired assistant, a dragon, he tries to solve the mystery of his client who has gone missing, but things are not quite what they seem.
Good start, I liked it - nice quirky characters, good plot and good storytelling. Just too short.

Lynn Harris - Black List
I liked this. Jace and his organisation are after the killer Calypso, but by mistake they get a specialist on Russian art, Dr Maddy Cole. Sparks fly beween Maddy and Jace, but with his past, he does not think he is good enough for her. He needs to protect her, though, as his boss is using her as bait for Calypso...
Good characters, very good storytelling, good plot and fast-paced.

umm - "old-lady" Mimi who is about 60? That's old? Does the author show some immaturity here? Her protagonists are over 30, they surely wouldn't view someone as old in the meaning of helpless and more or less decrepit.
Furthermore, the plot is her ex trying to take revenge, not the juvenile sex fantasies of the protagonists, isn't it?

Dark Mafia by Annika Martin: Albanian Mafya (yes that's the spelling in the book) killer with a kind heart is trying to find his brothers, who were kidnapped by another Mafia boss who killed his parents. So he now kidnaps his daughter, and the rest is predictable and boring. Did this story really have to be told?

Katie Reus - Resurrection
Good one - 2 CIA agents need to find and eliminate one of their own, who threatens to endanger them and their friends.
Fast paced, good narration, humour, and likeable characters.

Number 4 is a strange one and not in the same type as the previous ones. Young lawyer returns back to her cop family, only to fall in love with a friend and colleague of her brother and father. Some jealous female(s) make her life difficult, but only towards the end of the story. Good plot, but forced funny and somewhat on the very unrealistic side. Nice read though.

Second books has Special Agents Marston and Holms fighting against the Trader, who kidnaps girls and young women to train them as sex slaves. And Marston also makes progress in his search for the lost treasure.
Love this series so far.

Third one was good again: Delta soldiers, specifically Fletch, protect a young mother and her daughter from another soldier who doesn't like losing. Loved it.

#2 - bleh, sorry to say. Did not like this much, too confusing, too concentrated on sex (yeah really, mortal danger, fleeing from enemies, but we have time for a quickie? Seriously?), and forgetting the proper plot. What I did like was the dynamics between the brothers, and the idea of the plot which, as said, was neglected and only turned up from time to time like an afterthough in between all those sex scenes.

Oh loved the first one - ex SEALS are agents of an international crime unit working off Miami. Reminds me a bit of Starsky and Hutch, or Miami Vice, with that nothing-can-hurt-me vibes. Agent Marston's parallel private search for treasure makes this even more interesting.

10 books in one, the first is the Defender by Donna Grant, an absolute page turner: 2nd in command of a Russian Mafia boss, and an ex-CIA spy unvoluntarily join forces to fight against an evil worldwide organisation. Absolutely brilliant!

First book is nice, the second is a bit on the boring side.

Well one thing this book teaches me: never go to a hospital in Sidney, especially one called Sidney Harbour - a lot of the nurses and doctors are villains ;)

Sorry to say, but in the first story, although it had a good plot and the narration style was perfect, I missed a bit of reality; an abuse victim gets attached to a man she hasn't seen for 10 years? And what does he do but put her under pressure and try to control her by insisting on protecting her HIS way? Oh and the flowery sentences in her diary describing her situation?

lots of books to read - enjoying them, some more than others, but none are bad so far.

Weird. Not bad weird, but strange story. I can't decide how old the characters are supposed to be.

This is actually very much better than I thought from the very slow beginning.

Geez - the female protagonist already fainted or blacked out or something at least 8 times in the first 2 chapters! Overly dramatic much?
