Follows nicely on from the 1st volume and the cliff-hanger at the end of that. Much of the format is the same, but with the worldbuilding set, there's more of a road-trip feel to it - one micro-world per chapter.

Flow is still great, but it's creeping towards a bit much on the "who am I" and "what have I done to my loved ones" angst.

Not sure what to make of the story yet. The world-building looks good so far. What I really enjoy at this point is the storytelling and the way it's used to introduce and put meat on the characters. Fun!
