In a reading slump, so I'm going back to the characters that I know I love. Gah, how I've missed Tommy, Declan, and Aoife!

These scenes are so short, I feel like I'm supposed to be rushing through the story and I really don't want to :(

The only way I can convince myself to like the prose in this book is to read Juliette's thoughts as her fight against insanity. Because these illustrations and descriptions are confusing as heck.

I've got this audiobook turned up to 2x speed in an effort to finish it tonight before my book club XD

The deeper into this book that I get, the more I'm convinced that it's an Alice in Wonderland retelling, even though I can't find ANYTHING to confirm that. I'm a little too obsessed with looking for the similarities but believe me, I HAVE A LIST.

The more Alice in Wonderland retellings that I read, the more I realize that Alice in Wonderland is a comfort read and I'm not sure what that says about my mental health XD

That said, I'm adoring this.

"The rising fog mingles with the dark night, turning everything opaque."

If that doesn't scream "October", I don't know what does.

Well, this is...strange. Not sure I have the mental capacity to keep listening to this one at this time.

This book has overcharged my sarcasm and my coworkers keep telling me to "chill" with the roasts.

I've read like 5 pages and I've already snort-laughed ten times and had to set my phone down to keep from dropping it. Barrett speaks my language and her humor has me cackling!

I'm so suspicious of EVERYONE. *bites nails*

I'm really trying to make this book last as long as possible. I don't want it to end.

Have I mentioned how much I adore this world? I am so glad we have chapters just for exploring it! This is wonderful!

I could so easily binge this whole book in a single day, but I'm trying to make it last...AGH I LOVE LEYLA AND ARI SO STINKING MUCH
