Oof. This is shaping up to be an ink black cultural satire dressed up as a 'romantic'(??) thriller. In a good, smart way. The author is doing a frighteningly good job of portraying the (slightly OTT) voice of a jaded, MRA-type sociopath who simultaneously obsesses over and hates women. Very on-point given the recent goings-on with #gamergate and the alt-lit community.

So this roman a clef by a talk radio host pretty much seems to confirm that many "conservative" talk radio hosts don't believe as staunchly in what they actually say if they do at all. Which would be sort of a relief if it wasn't contributing to increasing polarization in our society. The media will continue to be a circus because it is very profitable.
