I picked this up from the library last week and thought it would be a good time to start reading given this week's events. Really fascinating. He makes a very compelling argument in the first chapter about how the financial crisis has been foremost a failure of prediction and the second chapter kicks off with a very timely analysis of how TV pundits are so often wrong

More great stories from Lahiri. "Only Goodness" in particular is a knockout

Compulsively readable, but at times it seems to try to say so much that in the end I'm not sure it said much of anything after all - when it starts to turn disturbing, it's highly intriguing, and hard to put down in the back half, but it seems to veer from interesting social commentary to a somewhat pedestrian thriller

This one is a doozy. Not in a bad way. It just starts out as fairly light social satire and takes a sudden turn into the disturbing.

This is fairly ingeniously plotted. 3 alternate scenarios, and well-placed backstory from the first 2 to each flesh out more meaning from the other

Am I reading into this too much or is it a pretty pointed anti-"1%" screed?
