After a long break I'm going to try and start this again. At least until my new book arrives.

This is going to be useful I think.

Couldn't get excited to read the thin read line. I think I overloaded on WW II books. Lets go with a little psych./soc./business book now

This book was a funny, quick read. Mauldin was an American soldier in WWII, specifically the in the European theater in Italy. The book is about how he went about creating these cartoons. The cartoons are are about the grunts at the frontline or as the author calls them, the "Doggies". He discusses what it's like to be up front as an infantry soldier.

I don't usually like to reread things but I didnt get as much out of this one as i think i could of the first time so i'm trying it again

still grinding it out...

I'm making slow but steady progress in this book. It is a little dry but very informative. Every single page I'm learning something new. BUT, this author, rather pretentiously, assumes the reader has a working knowledge of latin apparently? He peppers the entire book with latin phrases. i looked up the 1st few but now i just squint at them and cruse his name. "Blum..."

So far so good! lots of interesting stories from the people who lived them.

Sic is a Latin word meaning "thus", "so", "as such", or "in such a manner". It is used when writing quoted material to indicate that an incorrect or unusual spelling, phrase, punctuation or meaning in the quote has been reproduced verbatim from the original and is not a transcription error.

So far is this a financial history book. Didn't realize the "bank bailout" was such a popular go to move. Seems like every generation or so

hey lets make things up and sell them 2 eachother for boat loads of cash. "hey thats not a good idea" but well make $$$? yeah lets do it.

It's like V for vendetta without a cool masked man. but i still like it

Holden Caulfield reminds me of an emo kid w/ rich parents who has no real problems but the 1s he creates for himself in his own head

Pretty good book.It kind of overlapped a bit.Dem.s are sissies. The rep.s are unethical, moralist,do as i say not as i do, hypocrits.
