Outstanding! WKK just continues to deliver on multiple levels. His plot twists are so unforeseen, sometimes my jaw just drops open as a new wrinkle is thrown in.

Bogged down again. Still very interesting but since I’m not a music historian My mind tends to drift...

Tremendous do far, what a great writer

Really enjoying it now as so much music history is being shared, with a perspective of how various artists, eras and genres influenced Dylan. I may actually finish this book!

Enjoying it more and more as Wilentz delves deeper into the stories behind the songs. Dylan drew inspiration from so many different things!

I thought it was pretty dry and kind of slow at first, but now I am starting to enjoy the detailed accounting of how so many songs were conceptualized and written. Interesting people living in interesting times.

Slow read so far, I hope it picks up the pace a bit.

Ha! Really enjoying this so far, Matt's recollections are right on. Brings back some great memories of sitting on floor with my cousins around an old portable phonograph, squabbling about lyrics, (who could ever agree on what some of these musicians were really saying?!) writing them down, singing along, buying more 45s, obsessing about music, and of course... the Columbia Record & Tape Club. 11 for 1c 12th for $1

Great job by Duff, a no-messin-around account of a climb back from the depths of despair. An inspiring page turner...

I am really enjoying this story so far. Duff pulls no punches when recounting the sort of life he led before he sought recovery. He is honest, endearing, and matter of fact. I am beginning to see the world of Rock-n-Roll in a somewhat different light.

Just have not been into it, the story really lost its tone of urgency at some point

I had no idea what lengths our heroes went to to track down some of the greatest art in the world.

I'm quite surprised at who the key figure in all this really was! I'm not going to play the spoiler - you'll have to read the book.

Suspense builds as the men begin to track down hundreds (if not thousands) of historic art pieces pilfered by the Nazis. Excellent character development too.

Excellent so far, I love the way he weaves the individual stories into the overall picture of the big war. I need to pick up the pace though, this is taking too long!

I like the fact that back story is given for each of the heroes so we can put them in context with their mission. HOWEVER... It sure is taking a while to get to some action! Now I see why some people just wait for the movie to come out. :o)

So far this book has been very intriguing, very educational, and very shocking. I can't wait to see what happens next!
