I think this might be my first short story book? Either that or my first one in a long time! The first story was great, simple but effective story telling!

Picking up lots of facts, I feel like I'm going to morph into my dad after finishing this book - full of mildly useful facts.

Started off BRILLIANT, it is now getting a big stagnant - not really keeping me intrigued..

If the plot of this story happened right now, I guess Hilary could be president after all!

Funny commentary in certain places, slowly coming back to me, as I remember this book as a kid! Feeling nostalgic!

HOOKED. Although the beginning plot was a little weak - who leaves their baby alone by themselves, never mind leave them in a house by themselves, but I think this cleverly positions you as a reader from the outset to look at the story as if you hearing/reading about it or reading the press. Every chapter gives you just enough to keep you hooked and wanting to keep reading until the end! Brilliant!

Totally gripped from the first chapter - I think the term page turner was invented for books such as this!
