A really smooth captivating read. Carrie really understands girls, the way they think, the depth of their teenage anxieties. This book was touted as young adult fiction, but I’m enjoying its humor and mystery. Yes, it’s disarmingly funny.

So many questions, but having them answered would surely be unsatisfying at this point. I want this to go on to its devastating conclusion.

Stirring and powerful new verse with a wry sense of humor by one of El Paso’s current crop of fine writers. Ms. Alcalá doesn’t hail from here, but she’s a professor of creative writing at UTEP. This city is so fortunate to have this great poet in their midst.
