Having Cora be mad about Rush killing her father before she even knew him...stupid! Stupid I say! They've spent 90% of this book apart, she's lying to him, and all he's done is care about her AND be upfront and honest about his past. Girlie needs a reality check.

Okay knowing how Elara destroying Coriane from the inside out firsthand now…god she’s
so wicked but I still want to see inside her head!! I really enjoyed seeing more about the first queen and her and Tiberius meeting! It added to the world building nicely and deepened some of the elder characters (who are always some of the most intriguing for me).

twilight brainrot is real because when moiraine was described as “a gleeman’s tale come to life” all i could think of was bella describing esme as “snow white made flesh” i have one singular type it’s fine. also her “you know my name,” she said sounding delighted” i’m already so so soft about her!

Alex calling Ava Sunshine,,,,,,Yeah. Almost makes up for the absolutely bizarre pacing of this book.

Mare/Maven…I am feeling something! I also very much like the tutor, though I’m sure that means he’ll end up dead by the end of the book.

Ava is far more patient than me, I’d have bitched Jules out for being a shitty friend a long time ago. Bridget is my favorite character so far even if she’s 90% a stereotypical princess, and I’m hoping something sexy happens soon because otherwise Alex is vaguely boring to me.

I am still conflicted on how I feel about this book. The pace is pretty slow and I have absolutely no idea where the romance is going to end up at this point, so I hope something eventful happens soon to get me invested.

God I am already so invested in SO many aspects of this book. The potential romance angle, the family drama, whatever the twist I know must be coming is gonna be, the background wlw aspect!!! We love to see it!!! Very intrigued by what’s to come!
