Great familial novel - love it so far

So far this book is ok. It's definitely not as well-written as "Still Alice" but entertaining enough. I'm a third of the way in and the two main characters who are supposed to meet and become friend (and help each other overcome their respective challenges) haven't met yet. I feel like they should've met a few chapters ago. But, it's still engaging. I love female protagonist.

I'm reading this to my 7 year old son now. He loves it. I read the regular version in 8 the grade for school and did not like it. I remember a boy on the bus explaining how " the rabbit scene was awesome" and I did not remember the rabbit scene at all. We just read that scene the other night and it is awesome. London's prose are straight-forward and easy to comprehend.

Awesome! Making a very difficult time humorous and very human.

This was a great - quick read.
