Oh wow. I have been away so long! I miss my Goodreads!

It was all I wanted it to be. Sigh.

I just love this series.

You know when you like a book and you're so excited you wish you had a hyper speed reading super power so you could finish the damn thing in 20 seconds and know what happened already? But then not knowing hurts so good that you resist peaking ahead and instead read slower than usual to make it last longer? That's where I'm at. It hurts so good.

And I have my answer! Yaay! We're back to a pure love relationship. :-)

A year to read the resolution to the cliffhanger of the last book and Ms. Bennett is making me wait for it!! Agh! We're officially in a love/hate relationship right now.

This is the first book I've been genuinely excited to read in quite a while. I've been waiting for this one for...almost a year. I'm actually nervous.

My goodness! I need to update my account. It's been awhile. I've been overloaded with work, kids, sports and college. Why did I decide I needed another degree? Oh yes - I'm clearly psychotic. Anyway, I HAVE been reading. I will update away ASAP. I've missed you Goodreads. :-)

DAMMIT!!! WHY?? Why did we HAVE to do the classic "poor communication + drama queen" bit to "spice" things up? WHY?? It was soooo perfect before this stupid cliche! Gaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!!!

I flippin love this damn book. Things will have to go terribly wrong for me not to give this one five stars when I'm done. And we all know how few five stars I give out.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness. I do believe my sides have come undone. I love this book! So funny!

That last one was so awful I can't even bring myself to pick a new book tonight much less start one. I'm almost angry...sitting here sulking like the world of literature has dropped me on my fragile ass. I can't even write! A bath and whiskey are the only answers here.

I'm highly intoxicated now. It's the only way I can get through this one. I cannot stand this little girl!! I've resorted to skimming her useless monologue and only reading dialogue. Oh and the Jack is flowing quite freely.

Aww, the classic: angst by way of incredibly immature lack of communication. Why am I not surprised?

"...the deed." And I just had a flashback of The Big sandbox at Ruth Gibson Elementary School - where the cool 5th and 6th graders hung out. Cuz you know, we were THAT cool. And we owned The Big Box. And we wore scrunchies. And we talked about The Deed. Hey, at least I got a trip down memory lane out of this mess.

Here's the thing with black out drinking - when so drunk that you black out to the point of not recalling anything even with a play-by-play from someone that does: you were not having full conversations!! The person you were with certainly knew you were obliterated!! It simply doesn't work this way. One or the other. Never both.

I'm already irritated. I don't know anyone that loses an entire night of their lives and permanently departs from the one person that can fill in the blanks without asking for the full story first. Furthermore, no girl leaves her only friend to venture drunkenly on her own in Vegas particularly when there to celebrate one's birthday. Please. Flying pigs would have been more realistic.

QUICK! I need something wicked to read! How damning is it to go straight from The Bible to smut? Hmmm...maybe I should buffer the shift with a walk or something.

A couple interesting points. Other than that...bored out of my mind. Trying not to fall asleep. Actually need to splash water on my face.

I was born in Arizona but didn't stay long. After several locations we landed in the SJ Valley by the time I was 9. I spent the next 15 years everywhere from Monterey to LA. So when I read "PO box 11946, Fresno, CA 93776" I realized why Mr. bukowski's scenes seemed so familiar to me. It's a special kind of dank that can be recognized by the most general of hints. Only the 99 connects such filth.

There's beauty in normalcy - haunting, every day normalcy. That's what this collection is about. They're more crafty journal entries than anything.

Wait. Hold the phone. Back the truck up. This is fan fiction? I had no idea. I recommend not looking it up either until you finish reading this one...the stigma is far too tainting. Trust me though, I had absolutely NO idea until someone just asked me what I was reading and graciously broke the unwelcome news.

OH MY GOSH!!! I'm crying AGAIN. I know it's taking me a lot longer to read this book. That's because it must be slowly savored. There's no chewing allowed here. You have to just let it melt on your tongue to awaken taste buds you didn't even know where there.

And just that quick I have heartbreaking tears. This book is doing a number on me. In a good way. Of course.

I have tears from laughing so hard. Here's a sample: "What the hell did we do last night? It tastes like I was sucking on a troll's dick."

Believe me, that's just the tip of the iceberg.

43% of the way through. How is it? I may not make it to bed tonight. I may be straight zombie status tomorrow. Which would mean no Friday night drinking with friends because I won't be able to hold myself up. My weekend sucked big, hairy ones so I really need to tomorrow's drinking. If I don't o tomorrow I'll have to wait until next Saturday. Yet, this book may prevent me from sleeping tonight. It's that good.

Come on. That was really stupid. I knew it was going to happen before I even started the book (duh, ya know?) but still...
