shoutout to myself for downloading a good read for a long car ride @ 4 am to ottawa, this book isn't even half bad!!!

why does connell have such bad commitment issues... not even commitment but the dedication to be secretive like two gay lovers in a homophobic city

oh how i'm so excited to read for pleasure again. i've been wanting to read this book for ages!

That was.... interesting? Boring and very slow, unenjoyable- only "finished" for my class and never want to read again. However, very select portions of the text was interesting

not one page where I haven't been taken aback and needed to reread a sentence so strong. I hope I write, highlight, write personal anecdotes, and analyze more than I ever will in a textbook.
