I've been somewhat skeptical about this book but well... Let's see how it goes. It's only fair to read it now as it hasn't been long since I read Nabokov's Lolita.

Might be my first time reading a Gothic Romance

On chapter 12. Things are getting interesting now, I can't wait to see what happens next.

This book has so many twists, and I am hooked by each page.

Done with the first chapter and my mind is reeling...

Every day I find something simple like this, and yet, based on the context, it strikes so hard. Words truly hold immense power.

Usually, I don't like reading quirky characters, but there's something so endearing about Clarisse that I look forward to reading more.

That was the problem with women falling out of love; the veil of romance fell away from their eyes, and they looked in and could read you.

I love this line.
