The first CD I ever owned was Britneys debut album. I grew up with Britney Spears playing in the background. This is such a heartbreaking and harrowing story of how too many women are still taken advantage of, their mental health diagnosis weaponized against them and all the things they overcame used as ammunition for smear campaigns against them. When her dad says, "I'm Britney Spears now", my heart broke.
