Took a second to get into and didn’t think I’d love it but whoops it was really good. It’s funny how in the beginning it’s a man alone in space who then becomes friends with an alien he names Rocky… similar to Project Hail Mary, which recently came out lol but after that it’s wildly different. It’s a show with I think 3 seasons so I hope I get to see it someday

idk if it was enough for a 4 but I’m gonna watch the movie and reread the book to see if any feelings changed like last time

Honestly this really grew on me and I’m enjoying the child POV

She weenied out of the first one but yup that sure was an attempt (probably the most dramatic I’ve ever seen) low key I hope they keep her in the psych ward for waaaay longer than 72 hours

Loving the multiple POVs (and that each chapter lasts about an hour) third book in a row with a suicide attempt as a “major” content warning 🫣 it wasn’t on purpose but now we’re on a roll

Honestly, this is good progress. Bad news, I found out the app I’ve been using for content warnings shows a maximum of 3 per level of severity (minor, moderate and graphic) on the main page, and you have to click into it to view every single warning every user has ever used for the book, which is a bit overwhelming. So I wasn’t properly warned about the sexual content. Big oof.

Ok I had a question so I did read some reviews that had mild spoilers. The ones that stuck out were ‘gone girl if done poorly’ and ‘they deserve each other’ there was more sex than I wanted but it was overall mostly / almost worth it
