DNF'ing

Divine law states x and if x is violated, they'll be punished.

Next chapter, divine law is broken and no punishment given.

Lot of potential but I think I'm officially DNF'ing.

So far I'm loving this book. The politics in it are hitting very close to home. Plus, you get wolf shifters and a sentient sword. 🐺🗡️


If you like: Red Queen, The Prison Healer, The Hunger Games, The Cruel Prince, Cinder, Inheritance Games, Powerless, Lightlark, Throne of Glass, or Divergent, then I think you'd enjoy this.

I'm absolutely in love with this book. Samantha Shannon is a master of her craft. I wish life would allow me to read this in 1 sitting. Alas, dinner must be made.

Starting off strong. Great worldbuilding, interesting plot, and characters I care about.

Library reminded me the ebook is back soon, reminding me that I need to finish this asap. So beautifully written!

I've never wondered what an author's eyebrows looked like, and definitely haven't wondered about their spouse's eyebrows. But the dedication in this book has me incredibly curious. 🤣🤣

When is book 2 coming out? I'm loving this book so far.

So excited to actually start this book this evening. Can't believe I was able to get the eARC.

Starting this before bed is likely a terrible idea, but I just can't wait any longer.

Started the ALC and love the narrators. Story is starting off strong.

For those the world taught that emotions are weakness. There is strength in feeling.
