Still incredible… if I had the time I would absorb this book in one day

I have never been more confused by a book … what did I get myself into

I was the shadow of the waxwing slain!

The story so far is fantastic; however, my issue is that I feel Hosseini tries to do too much with a page range that is not any longer than your typical novel. These 244 pages so far, in my view, should have been dragged out over at least 100 or 150 more. Thus, the novel feels rushed, which is too bad because the story is great.

I have 20 pages left and want to finish so bad tonight but unfortunately I am inebriated and therefore will likely have to wait until tomorrow

I would say the story is excellent, but I should more say the individual stories are excellent. Each new chapter, which spans about 35-50 pages, introduces new characters, each with their own plots. The character development within each of these chapters is masterful, though the novel as a whole is becoming very complex. I am hoping Housseini will artfully tie it together at the end; if so, this is a 5-star book.
