I’m at a bar rn so idk how coherent this will be. Usually, I hate books with an unhealthy proportion of dialogue, which this book kind of appears to be. But something about this book hits different. The dialogue is so full of life and meaning. It develops the characters better than any dialogue I have ever read. It drags, yes, but in a beautiful amazing story-teller kind of way. Incredible so far. Amazing.

BBB (“Bloody Beautiful Book”)

This is such a bloody beautiful book

The jagged mountains were pure blue in the dawn and everywhere birds twittered and the sun when it rose caught the moon in the west so that they lay opposed to each other across the earth, the sun whitehot and the moon a pale replica, as if they were the ends of a common bore beyond whose terminals burned worlds past all reckoning.

It’s almost laughable how much better this novel is than No Country for Old Men—at least at this point in the book. The Kid is a thrilling young protagonist, and the imagery is some of the best I have ever read. What an amazing read so far.

I’m giving it 100 more pages before it heads to DNF because this is one of the worst novels I have ever read

Holy crap this novel got so bad so fast. 200 pages in and the novel has no sense of direction or plot. Maybe that’s the point; that the novel is supposed to be a critique on modern-day life, relationships, and marriage, and how social media and technology de-humanizes us and turns us into fake people, but oh my god it is so boring. I honestly don’t know how I can get through 400 more pages of this crap.
