as much as i love henry, i physically need to see him not ghost my poor baby alex whenever something bad happens. i understand he gets these moods and goes somewhat catatonic, but the people yearn for ✨character growth✨

i identify so much with henry’s feelings of not valuing himself enough. after his fight with alex, he convinced himself that their relationship would be impossible and end poorly and it would be better for alex to forget he ever cared for him and move on, bc henry underestimates how much other people truly love him. and it’s so sad but so true🥺

i think this is the first piece of vampire media i’ve seen that puts an emphasis on what it feels like to not have a pulse… that might sound weird, but it makes sense. that desperate chase of a phantom thrill rushing thru ur veins, if only temporary, can be just as addicting to these vampires as the blood itself, which i find SO INTERESTING. but maybe i’m weird for that lol
