When she wakes up, Tillia and Luella are there. She realizes Luella is Evie’s mother. Ransom arrives, and comforts her. She tells him she killed a man. And recounts his first kill: Zavier/Dray’s stepfather, who was tried to kill him to get his stepson in line to the throne.

The next morning Zavier tells them that a pack of bariwolves were on the way to attack Ellder. He and Ransom go to fight them I won’t let O experiment with being the source of their attraction. She goes for a walk around the village and a man in a hospital gown appears. She tries to help him, but he reaches out to choke her. She has to slash his throat to escape and his blood is dark green

I felt like the 🌶️🌶️🌶️ happened really fast, and very suddenly.

O considers that the monsters may be trying to get to her. She wants to offer herself up as bait, but Ransom won’t let her. They get into an argument about her lack of freedom, and he offer to take her back Quentis when she blames herself for the dead people in Calandra. 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Cath is not the mother. Ransom tells O about the tunnel in the dungeon that leads outside. She mentions how painful it is for Voster to touch her, and Ransom says their touch is not painful but drawing the Lyssa out IS. The two Voster left during the mad panic to find Evie.

Evie got out to the side gate with her bow and quiver of arrows. Cathlin found her. There’s a “we’ll catch up later” comment between Cath & Luella.

Zavier, Ransom & their party arrive. Zavier dislocated his shoulder. The High Priest & Brother Dime arrive, too, and the HP grabs Odessa’s arm, and it’s painful for her, asking who her mother is. Random makes him stop, but right then Luella runs in panicked: Evie is missing

She and Samuel continue to work on the map of Calandra & the theory the Voster started Lyssa. Halston & Tillia arrive to Ellder on horse back from Treow: she’s pregnant and Halston wishes her to stay in Ellder. The bariwolf pack has not been eliminated yet. Also, Faze is growing and becoming a little more dangerous, but is so domesticated already, how can she turn him back out to the wild?

While they discuss if vosters can be killed, a pack of bariwolves attacks Ellder. One of them is one eyed, the one ransom was bitten by. There is one boy who can’t be saved, and it’s quite upsetting to Odessa. The high priest helps the fight, but Ransom wants to pursue the one eyed bariwolf.

Questions, questions, questions. O’s father wants to kill the Voster, turns out they live in Allesaria, which is why Ramsey burns the books, to keep the public for, knowing where the city is. There’ upheaval, and Ransom runs to it: bariwolves have invaded the city, they have Lyssa.

Evie is the daughter of Ramsey & his wife, next in line do the throne after Ransom dies. Ramsey doesn’t know about her. Zavier adopted her. He thinks Odessa’s father has found a way to break the shield of sparrows, which will break the fragile peace treaty across Calandra, by slaughterhouses the Voster.

Ransom explains Ramsey knows as much as he does, but doesn’t know he has Lyssa. She asks who Evie’s real father is, and Ransom says she’s actually his sister.

He explains the Voster helped him survive with it. She offers the idea the Voster created Lyssa, he dismisses that.

She confronts him over the facade and why he did what he did while drawing her blades. Ransom manages to restrain her, and points out she’ll be free soon enough when he dies from Lyssa. She kisses him, and he lets her go.

“The truth!” I shouted into his face. “You should have told them, you should have told me, the truth.”
“That the Turan prince, the heir to the throne, is dying? That he has the same infection as the monsters hunting them in their very towns? Is that what I should tell them? Send them into a panic less than a year before the migration?”

Zavier is Ransom’s cousin and has acted as his double for most of his life. In Turah, princes & princesses have a double for safety reasons, it’s been tradition for over 100 years. Zavier’s real name is Dray, and Ransom’s full name is Zavier Ransom Wolf, he’s a middle namer.

Jocelyn comes by the next day to apologize. She’s sincere, but believes Zavier is her husband, and Odessa goes along with it. She has to send Jocelyn away and back home to report that Allesaria has not been found.

Called it. Zavier is not the crown prince, Ransom is, and it was his blood at the wedding, not Zavier’s and he spoke the vows. His green blood they couldn’t see in the light. He saw her jump off the cliff and emerge with red hair. Called it.

On the way to Ellder, Ransom tells Odessa why he was named the guardian and how he knows he killed the bark wolf that bit him. In Ellder, she wants to say hello to Brielle and Jocelyn, but then she sees Zavier and Jocelyn together.

The next morning before Dawn they get on the horses to leave, but King Ramsey and his men arrive. There’s a bit of a standoff between Ransom and Ramsey. The king acknowledges Odessa then they see Samuel’s house is on fire ransom saves the little boy Jonas and orders. The soldiers not to burn any of the books that were saved. Oh, calls Ramsey a coward.

Samuel and Nesi regrets writing what he did. He tells Odessa that ALLESANTRA is a very protected city and you have to take a blood oath to get in. He doesn’t know much about it other than that. She brings it up with Ransom and he getsdefensive and tells her she does nothing about it.

Bransom and Odessa go to RAVALLI to do some more research on the LYSA disease. During the ride, Bransom admits it’s hard for him to die so he makes his convenience. Agreed to kill him if things get out of hand.In the city, they meet the guy who wrote the book that said her father killed her mother.

On the way back to TREOW, the three almost gets attacked by a monster. It is her bravery that saves her and a villager boy. That night the guardian allows her to keep her bladder. The next day after training, the guardian and Odessa finds a pack of baby monsters that have starved to death. She decides to adopt the last one to see if she can save it. He finally gives her his name; Ransom.

To play Kate, Evie, the Guardian and Odessa decides to go back to TREOW. On the way after Amy falls asleep, she asked about the monsters with the green blood. They are infected and a bike will kill any mortal creature, including humans.A barrel wolf bit the guardian four years ago and he survived.

The guardian takes her to elder not back to TREOW. There she cares for Evie for a few hours every day. Evie takes her to the dungeons where scrolls are hidden. CATHLIN gets upset with Luella for letting Odessa into the dungeons.Because Odessa is too much like her mother as cryptic as that is, I’m wondering where Odessa was born and if she knows it.

Odessa gets a crossbow and onto the second floor balcony at the end and helps to pick them off along with him. Part of the balcony collapses under her when all the wolves are dealt with. Somehow, she manages to get the crossbow pointed right at the guardians heart and he tells her tofinish him off.

Odessa goes on to explore Ashmore. She talks to CATH El Ay N about King Ramsey‘s burning at the library and books. Ramsey is just crazy. Suddenly, BARIWOLDES attack. Most everyone barricades themselves inside the INN except the guardian who stays outside to kill them, but he’s outnumbered by seven.

Guardian is upset with her for not just asking to go to Ashmore. She can’t think of why she didn’t just ask. I know why; he took her rope ladder every night. She tries to go to sleep and wakes up to him, stealing her pillow and taking his boots off to spend the night, he now knows about her natural hair color. He was able to smell the die from a mile away.

With Brielle’s help but sneaks out TREOW. When she gets to Ashmore, she gets a cryptic answer about keeping the monsters out. In the streets, she ever hears the guardian laughing and sees he is in a tavern with a busty wench. He doesn’t seem to see her . When she gets a room in the Inn, she lets herself in only to find the guard in there are absolutely livid with her.

Odessa and ZAVIER take polite walks together and talk about Ben all safe things. Evie falls along one day. Eddie tells her that her father defends them from the sick monsters when Odessa talks to Brielle. They come to the conclusion that they’re sort of being held at TREOW and their things being kept secret. Is ALLESARIA even real?
