When the book is so delightful and breezy and relatable and then someone violently pukes up a live spider in the most gruesome way that makes me go oh yeah, this is horror LOL

OK well here we go LOL This show consumes my every waking thought and it was just perfection all across the board, so now I've obviously got to try the book

I'm not sure why so many people said that they thought this was one of the funniest books they've ever read; it's incredibly sad. Maybe reading about animals dying en masse in really fucking upsetting ways because zombie apocalypse doesn't bother those people. It *IS* funny, I've laughed a lot at the things ST thinks and says, and the funny way that animals interpret our world, but fuck sake have I cried a lot.

After a couple intense, paying attention fantasies that made me cry a whole lot, I needed a little palate cleanser. I don't typically go for contemporary romance, but have heard lots of good things, so we'll see! Enjoying it well enough so far :)

OK I'm 100 pages in and I still don't care so gonna put this one down. Bums me out bc I absolutely loved The Last Namsara and Edgewood (excitedly getting a new name (The Dark Forgetting) and cover which fit the story much better imo), but this one just left me with nothing feelings for Rune and a sneaking suspicion that the romance is going to be the only thing propelling the story forward, and for a fantasy, yawn.

I absolutely hate Cameron and it's making it hard to hope anything good happens to him. I hope I change my mind because it's making me enjoy the story less. TBD.

OK so I am not typically a fan of literary fiction but we're doing this as a community for BC Reads so I really wanted to be part of that. Well, 20 pages in and I've cried three times and felt the weight of this story already. It is going to be a very special one, I am certain.

OK as it turns out I have lost interest in this. I took a break to do something else and am just not very interested in finishing it. Boo

OK so Bridge Kingdom had me flipping pages like crazy so I wanted to check this out. I'm halfway through and just like, why is all romantasy written like absolute shit anymore? The banter is just so aggressive and stupid AF there is NO TENSION just woe! Boo! lol I am kind of enjoying this so will definitely finish but would like better writers to join this category at any point!

Ok 2 pages in and the saints in this world get a real tough fucking break. So far, v monstrous lol excited!

OK so I have tried SO hard to like this book, and while I do, I just feel like it's YA with swearing (which is absolutely fine but it's def not adult fantasy) and doesn't really seem to cover new ground. Perhaps things change in the second half but for now I think I'm going to have to put it down and come back to it. I'm also having a hard time getting into anything lately so it's probably just me.

DNF. I have tried so hard for weeks to read this book without luck. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just such a nothing book that after taking weeks to get halfway, I realized I don't really care about the story or the characters LOL

Love this intensely but it also makes me v sad so it's taking for god damn ever.

I'm still in the v beginning but this is not exactly what I was expecting this book to be and I'm on the fence about how I feel about it so far. Going to keep going bc there is something about it so we shall see

For anyone wondering how feel good this book is, it is none. But I AM LOVING IT

I missed listening to the audio of this series so much that I almost cried when it started. Gah!! One of the finest narrated audio book series I've ever listened to hands down. And what an utter delight to be back in this story. I've already laughed 63 times

I am so, so glad I kept going into the second book after all the frustration the beginning of this story brought. This is becoming quite the adventure and I love Vasya more with every page.

I really am loving this story, but holy fuck it is slow. I think I'm at a point where Vasya's story is really about to pick up, so here's hoping!

I dove right into Aurora's End and quickly decided that it was silly not to reread the first two books that I love so so much so here we are

I wasn't going to reread this before Kingdom of the Cursed and then I started skimming through it and was reminded how much I LOVED this gd book so yes, a reread before jumping right into Cursed is absolutely happening and I AM STOKED

Rereading this favorite because it has been too long and I miss Damen.

I'm really enjoying this but got really busy with school and now it's time for all things Grishaverse, so just pressing pause for a bit!
