Now this is how you write a dark romance 🖤 Can’t believe I’ve let this sit on my shelves this long. I’m a sucker for the wizard of oz and this is exactly what my black little heart needed out of this story. Forget ‘Wicked’. You won’t need it after you read this. And I’m saying that at only 30%.

Picking this one back to finally get it off my list lol The communication graduate part of me is thriving on this interpersonal goldmine 🤗

Y’all know this isn’t my kind of book but 2024 is the year of Turing to be more in my feminine and this was suggested, so here we go 🤔

DNF at 9% - just don’t vibe with the characters or the internal dialogue going on. Life’s too short and my TBR is too long.

Ehhh. Would DNF based on spotty plot, repetition of verbs, and lack of character development in general, but I’m almost done so 🤷‍♀️

I tried, I really did. But I just couldn’t get into it. Too much internal dialogue. Not fast paced enough. Not my cup of tea ☕️
