i can articulate now why this book is difficult for me to read; it’s not the big words, it’s the straight academic-ness of it. there is no story building, there’s no relatable stories (yet, it’s still early days). it’s just academic prose through and through, which was my same problem with the noam chomsky book

i only have the epilogue left. i’m gonna vomit this book is so good. dostoyevsky is a poet, man.
