I am so disappointed with this. The romance is so shallow and fast-paced. Hello, insta love?? Like at least give me something to latch on to, like my hazy dream boy Jest. The female lead is insufferable. All your friends left you? I wonder why. This whole book so far screams trope instead of real human beings with personalities. Begging it gets better from here

There's something about him starting as a hazy beautiful dream boy that just sells me right from the beginning. I get that this is less love and more infatuation, BUT I AM INFATUATED WITH JEST SO IM SO OKAY WITH THIS.

I see a lot of myself in Cath as well, which I know isn't great since she's a privileged bitch, but I fear so am I and we have the same taste in men.
