This is such a painful read. It's like the author doesn't let us come to our own conclusions. The prose is shoved down our throats and these characters are all unnecessarily edgy, and I like edgy. This is the most superficial dark aesthetic. Peel one layer and you see one dimensional characters with no core personalities except for being dark and moody and not like the others

Is your Mc truly powerful or special if all your other female characters are dimwitted, "plain", "whores" and "losers". It's lazy as hell. I liked Hannah so much but she's clearly just a "I'm not like other girls" trope. For someone who's so intellectual, you'd think she'd stop demeaning everyone around her to make herself look more legit

This is a perfect mix of Taylor Jenkins Reid and Emily Henry's typical charm. I am definitely seeing the bubbly girl x moody man trope often used in her books, along with them being writers, but i frankly do not give a fuck. I am eating this up so far
