This is a clever form of non-product-placement, something Mr. Stephen King should learn from! Has someone noticed how many genuine products pop up in recent SK stories, UR for example? I find this annoying!

Oh oh, Kora is going to meet the baddest guy Zalski in the Crystal Palace. How she'll make it back.

The story is gripping, the characters interesting, and some of the incantations would be really useful IRL.

The book on the left would be 100 years old if it were the 1st edition; alas it's the 4th one edition from 1921.
Nevertheless it's one of the oldest books in the house. I doubt my Kindle will work that long.

Great story so far.

I've noticed that I have already covered half the way to my 2013 Reading Challenge.

That sounds like a lot when you consider that it's only April, but who knows what the year will still bring.

A cheerful reading pleasure for all my friends!

Slow going. The 1950s lingo doesn't make this an easy read, for me anyway. The occasional typos don't help either [like "grass windows" instead of "grass widows"].

Still no revelation, but no disappointment either. But at least it made me to drag out some old Jazz albums and listen to them. Some Lester Young for example. That man could play!

What could be a better day to start a Billie Holiday biography than April 7th, her birthday (1915)?

I enjoy reading this. The author managed to give the main character a very likable dogality.

I realize this is the fourth book I'm reading written from the viewpoint of an animal. The other ones being Timbuktu (Dog; by Paul Auster), Through The Woods (Cats, partly; by Troy Blackford), Der Tag Der Ameisen (Ants; by P.Werber).

Yet another Silo story has been published:
The Sky Used to be Blue by Patrice Fitzgerald.

It's time for another classic and another case of evil vs good. Moving back 125+ years.

I'm not much of a sucker for vampire stories, and I haven't read many bible chapters, so I wonder if this one's for me.

A new fan-fiction-silo-story is out: The Last Prayer by Lyndon Perry. Not on Goodreads yet.

I do like this book. It probably won't boost Essex' tourism revenue though; wasn't meant to.
