bro this book spoiled the plot twist that happens HALFWAY THROUGH the book in the teaser. like if you did not think that the first half of the book was good enough to interest readers WHY WOULD YOU WRITE IT. same energy as the movie trailer teasing all the funny parts of the movie and spoiling the whole thing. bruh.

okay so I don't remember why I bought this book, I assume it has something to do with it being shelved under my "gay vampires" shelf, but I don't think this is about vampires? it DOES have angels though (which I def did not know), which just so happens to be my other favorite entity so we're in for a treat no matter what

mmm interesting. def could have used some sort of warning for gore bc i was not prepared for it at all but it’s not overdone. really enjoying the true enemies to lovers of matthias and nina. cannot wait to see how downhill this plan goes and the levels of betrayal there will be. honestly my main gripe rn is how young the characters are for no reason, it would feel much less uncomfy w an early 20s cast

always struggle with violet deciding to bring everyone to aretia. like it’s good that she told them bc clearly atp they needed to know, but to risk the secrecy when all it would take is one person ratting them out? also not great to take everyone beyond the wards. it sucks bc the only other option would be to leave them at basgiath where they’d be informed and useless, esp when it came time to fight

can we stop finding stupid reasons to not be in love. like so genuinely pissing me off that there's about 50 pages of an actual relationship (most of which is spent on being tortured) before violet goes off and is fucking stupid again. can varrish come back and hit u again so u can be GRATEFUL xaden puts up with ur dumb fucking ass
