This book should be required reading in every high school in the U.S. Dan Rather addresses a range of topics that affect all of us, including voting, immigration, education and more. He has a balanced perspective enriched with historical information giving the reader the relevant background to explain how the country got to where we are today.

Really long book, but really well-written and really interesting. Highly recommended
