Much slower start than "Fourth Wing." It only began to pick up around the 200-page mark. There is a lot of annoying scenes/characters/parts that honestly, I feel like we can do without.

But ya know what, we're not even halfway yet. So we'll see.

So far, I'm loving this story. Holly is a force to be reckoned with and I adore her personality, tenacity, mind, everything. The story reads like a typical Stephen King mystery/suspense and I love it. Fingers crossed I can finish this by tomorrow 🤞

Reading like a more violent, better version of "Aladdin" and I am all for it. Loulie is a force to be reckoned with, and I love her relationship with Qadir. Mazen is a tad... Idk how I feel about him yet. I highly dislike Omar, but I believe that's the point. I'm interested to see what happens when the Jinn lamp is discovered...if it even is real
