The premise is dope

I've read better romance novels. I've read much worse. If I wasn't an archaeologist personally, I'd probably enjoy this more. However, we've hit the smutty bits and it's... Cringe so far.

Notes from a irl archaeologist: we would absolutely never wear shorts on this dig. Long pants are typically required on dig sites for safety (protection against ticks, mosquitos, poison ivy, brambles/vines/impaling sticks).

Heavy (I mean, I anticipated this based on the description)... Will not be flying through this as I do with my typical reads as I frequently find that I need to step away from it.

Pit toilets and flimsy standup showers? And this is going to lead to spice? This is about to get real funky.
